Hunt Story
Got in to hunting area well after daylight because I was waiting on a friend to drop off something. Going in to a homemade blind behind my house, about 200 yards from the backyard. It being around 8:30, I thought I would bump out all the deer and just get wet for nothing. Did not see anything until 10:00. Had a doe come by with a 4-pointer right behind her chasing. Sat for 10 more minutes and a decent 8-point came on same trail gaining ground quick. Caught movement behind the 8-point up on top of the ridge and saw that it was a shooter and got the gun up. He was on a mission, so he did not see me stand and turn to shoot. From the time I saw the deer to shooting was probably only 5 seconds. Quick!! Dropped him 40 yards from my blind.
