Hunt Story
I had a lot of history with this deer. In the summer of 2017 as an 8-point, I spotted him from the tractor. We had one trail-cam picture of him that November. In 2018, he was a ghost. No sightings or pictures. I thought he was gone. This summer he showed up at a feeder as a 10-point. He was pretty regular on camera all the way up to a month ago, and he vanished. I stuck it out and kept hunting hard in hopes that he was still around. On November 19th, I headed to the stand that afternoon. After getting settled in, I hit the grunt call. About 3-4 minutes later, I heard something in front of me. I looked up, and it was him. He was headed to me to see where the grunts came from. Once he got on the edge of the food plot, he stopped and for several minutes he was just looking around. I took the shot and dropped him in his tracks. Just because he is not showing up on your camera does not mean that he is not close by. Glad I stuck with it and blessed to be able to take this deer and have the history that I had with him!
