Hunt Story
This is C.J. second deer ever! At about 7 a.m. we had a doe come trotting behind our stand, then stop and take off again like a buck was chasing her. We never saw the buck and figured he turned before he got to us. We then turned back around and see a doe coming across the clearcut on a trail that will bring her right by our stand. Once she gets about 20 yards into the clearcut a pretty 9-point walks out behind her. C.J. gets his gun up on the shooting rail and prepare for the shot as we watch them come closer and closer. I had him wait until the buck was within about 45 yards before he took the shot. Boom and the buck jumped and ran, but he was hit good and expired within about 30 yards.
