Hunt Story
I got to the field about 4:00. Walking in I noticed a lot of fresh paw marks. I picked a paw near my stand and sprayed Voo Doo. I had only been in the stand about 20 minutes and heard a buck grunting behind me. Within a few minutes he charged into the field from my left running wide open toward the paw. I have never shot a deer running wide open and my shot was a little far back, but I could tell I hit him good because he stopped running. He was still walking and I shot him again in the neck. Just as the second shot hit him three dogs ran into the field and started attacking the deer as he lay on the ground. They were biting him and pulling his fur out. I called my husband and told him I had shot a nice buck and dogs were trying to eat him. I got down and chased the dogs away from the deer and my husband showed up and helped me load him up and get him out of the field.
