Hunt Story
I have lots of trail-cam pictures of this deer. He started showing up in the daylight and I moved a stand in. He started showing up at 3 a.m. He finally came in last Thursday around 7. He was facing me and I couldn’t get a shot off. The deer got nervous and started moving around. As he was leaving I bleated and stopped him at 25 yards quartering away. My sight picture was good, but I was twisted around shooting off the back of the stand. The string bit my arm and the light was now low. I wasn’t sure about the hit. The deer snorted as he left. I got down and found good blood. Still unsure, I decided to wait until 10 to track. I went and ate and got my son Samuel to help. Less than 100 yards in the deer was dead in the trail. This is my best bow buck. Thankful.
