Hunt Story
I was sitting over plowed food plot that was too dry to plant. Behind me was an oak creek bottom and a road bed. I had a couple of does pass through as soon as I got in the stand. It was hot at around 95. I thought no way was anything else going to be moving this early. Then at around 5:45, I heard movement coming through the oaks. I first suspected an armadillo, but to my surprise, it was the buck we had seen all summer on the cameras. He was still in the summer feeding pattern. He walked with 6 yards of my stand. I took my shot at 12 yards. He traveled about 50 yards into a creek bottom. The heat and the chiggers were tough that day, but all worth is. That was by far my biggest buck with a bow. Another great hunt at the farm.
