GON Staff | August 29, 2012

Eufaula: Level: 1.9 feet below full pool. Temp: 86 degrees. Clarity: Slight stain to clear.

Bass: Fair. Capt. Sam Williams reports, “Fish cover early around edges. Frogs and topwater are fun. Jigs and Texas-rigged soft plastics worked slowly are working when the early bite slows up. Cover and trashpiles on the drops and ledges are holding fish later in the mornings and afternoons. Cranks, big jigs and Carolina-rigged plastics are getting hit.”

Bluegills:
Fair. The bream are bedding again. Sam said you will be able to smell the areas.

Catfish:
Sam said, “Fish worms, and find any cover on a drop. Place your bait in the deep water, and move it up the drop once in a while.”
