Hunt Story
I was actually hunting a deer that had been wounded earlier in the season and had no intentions of shooting anything but that deer, but this was the second time I had seen this particular buck while hunting the wounded deer. We had trail-cam pics of the 9-point and believe he's a deer we've had encounters with that is on the decline. During the hunt I had a doe and two yearlings feeding in the plot and on corn for a some time when I heard him grunting. Then he just appeared and walked into the plot, I was already in position with my bow when he stepped out. I automatically recognized him, and after he checked the yearlings he started toward the mama. When he did, I drew and landed an arrow in him at 30 yards. He ran out of sight and I heard him crash around 100-150 yards away.
