Hunt Story
I was overlooking a clearcut. I looked up and saw a deer walking along the edge of the clearcut heading toward me. I realized he was a buck and quickly put my scope on him an saw he was at least a 6-pointer. As he got closer I saw he was an 8-pointer. Since he was still walking toward, me I waited for an easier shot. He got to 20 yards from me, turned broadsided. I made a grunting sound with my voice to stop him, he stopped and looked up. I shot him in the shoulder area. He took off running back into the clearcut and collapsed about 50 yards away. Dad told me to hunt until 9:00. So I waited anxiously. When I got down at 9:00, I walked over to him and realized he was a 9-pointer.
