Hunt Story
Observed a spike chasing a young doe early in the hunt. Several minutes later the spike returned following the route he originally came from. About the time the spike disappeared, another small buck came out following the same path the doe went. About 15 minutes later I made four quick grunt calls in the direction I had observed the small bucks. Less than 10 minutes later, I heard stomping and limbs breaking. I looked in the same direction I saw the small bucks and observed the 10-point. I quickly turned toward the buck and watched him making a scrape and tearing up a licking branch with his horns. Shortly after the buck put his head down and began quickly moving in the direction the doe and spike had come from. I bleeted at him twice to get him to stop. As soon as he stopped, I made a quick decision that he was a shooter. I then fired, the buck dropped immediately!
