Hunt Story
Had a few hundred pics of this deer last year and a few before season started this year. My brother and I both let him walk last year but decided to shoot this deer because we thought he was now a shooter. I got in my ground stand in some planted pines around 4:30 PM on Monday October 22 and was seeing several deer feeding on my corn. At about 6:30 he came out into my shooting lane approximately 190 yards away. I currently had a doe feeding about 90 yards in front of me, and when he saw her, he immediately began to walk straight to her. When he got within 10 yards of her, she ran off. He stood there looking in the direction she had run. After about a minute, he finally quartered to me just enough that I felt comfortable to shoot. I carefully put the crosshairs on him and squeezed the trigger. He fell dead his tracks.
