Hunt Story
We have seen and fed this buck all summer with hopes of one of boys getting him. Jack saw the deer opening morning but didn’t get a shot. He redeemed himself in a big way the next evening! He was in a ladder stand by himself about 300 yards from my other son and I. He saw multiple does early in hunt and was texting me the play by play. At about 7 p.m. the buck stepped in a shooting lane. Jack simply text “Buck”.........and I heard the shot 20 seconds later. It was a perfect shot that clipped the heart, and his trophy only ran about 50 yards. It is his 4th deer but this one was special. He was on his own and did a great job. Obviously me and my other son were able to enjoy the kill with him, but the celebration also included Jack’s papa, Sammy Wooten who is responsible for his love of hunting.
