Hunt Story
I actually moved my Millennium tripod two times Sunday evening around 4:30 because Saturday I was winded. I moved toward acorns closer to bedding area. Beating and banging. I thought no way a deer comes out tonight. Especially this deer. I had starting getting his picture about three weeks prior. He would visit at all times but mainly at night. I had like two pics of him in daylight. About 7 p.m., two twin spikes come through and start feeding on acorns. They fed a while and headed off toward the corn. I kept looking back, and I could hear other deer coming. This deer stepped out next, and it was getting fairly dark. I pulled the hammer back and pulled the trigger, and it snapped. I had to reach and get another primer. Break Pro Hunter down, put new primer in, and tried it again. This time it fired. He really didn't do anything. Just jumped and ran into a section of woods. Then he jumped out into field edge, and I could see no blood. I thought, good Lord, I missed, but then he stopped and blood started streaming out and within three seconds he was gone. Fell right in the road.
