Clarks Hill Fishing Report – September 2018

GON Staff | September 4, 2018

Clarks Hill: Level: 2.2 feet low. Temp: 83-85 degrees. Clarity: Slight stain and a small amount of debris due to the rains.

Linesides: Guide Bradd Sasser reports, “The hybrid and striper bite is still strong with a good steady bite throughout the day. The fish are mixed in all different levels of the water column, which indicates that the quality of the lake this summer has stayed very good. We have had some very nice catches come in 16 feet off of shoals and some come from 50 to 60 feet of water along the edges of the channel. There is a great supply of healthy bait in all levels of the lake providing a very plentiful food source. Good fishing has gone on all over with nice catches coming from the Fishing Village area, nice boxes coming from Modoc and more nice fish coming from the mouth of Georgia Little River.  The afternoon bite has also been extremely good since we have been having evening generation at the lower dam. Expect the fish to start showing more surface activity and schooling in the upcoming weeks.”
