Hunt Story
I was hunting on Lake Russell WMA during the primitive-weapons hunt. I was sitting in a ground blind for about 3 hours without seeing any deer at all, and then suddenly from my right, I saw this deer trailing a doe. I grunted with my mouth to get it to stop and made the shot that was around 100 yards with my muzzleloader. The buck dropped in its tracks, and I was able to make a quick recovery. The buck weighed 127 pounds field dressed with approximately 22-inch beams.
