Hunt Story
I had been in my stand approximately 15 minutes when I heard something about 80 yards to my side in some heavy brush. I noticed some movement and started focusing on the area of the movement. A doe was working her way toward my stand but was in heavy brush. The doe continued working closer to me until she noticed me move. As she snorted at the unknown ahead of her, I heard a stick break just in front of me. As my attention had been focused on the doe and hoping a buck was trailing behind, my 9-point with a 18 1/2-inch spread had stopped about 40 yards directly in front of my stand. I pulled up my Browning 300 win mag and dropped in him in his tracks. Immediately after downing this impressive 9-point, a monster 10-point came in behind the doe I had been watching, and they trotted off into the sunrise.
