Hunt Story

My Mom was going hunting behind our house that evening and I asked if I could go. She said come on, so I grabbed my rifle and went with her. We have a corn field food plot not far from our house, so we walked to the stand. We got in a tower on the plot about five o'clock, we sat there about 30 minutes and we hadn't seen anything, so I laid down in the floor to get me a nap....there is no better place to take a nap than in the deer stand. I couldn't even get to sleep good and my Mom was waking me up telling me there was a big buck in the food plot. I got up, got my gun ready and the buck would not stop for me to get a good shot. My Mom, who has been watching too much Outdoor Channel, said get ready I'm gonna stop him. I looked at her like she was crazy. But, she let out this awful noise and it worked. He stopped, and I shot. He went right down, and me and Mom celebrated. We looked back up and he was gone. We couldn't find any blood and were not sure where he went...I was so disappointed. My stepdad called Scott Lopez, who is our neighbor, and him and his dog Zeva came over and went straight to my buck.
