Hunt Story
On November 21st, 2017, I walked to a shooting house that had been given to me by a friend. The shooting house was located in a field next to a grown-up bedding area. The weather was in the 30s and cloudy, with a southeast wind. At approx. 8:45 a.m. I saw a small buck come out of the grown-up field and walk away. At approx. 9:45 a.m. I saw a small yearling doe step out of the same grown-up field. The doe stopped and was smelling the ground where I had placed some doe in heat urine. I watched her for about 1 minute, and saw the buck walking in the tall grass toward the doe. The buck stepped out approx. 100 yards and I shot him. He went down immediately.
