Hunt Story
After wounding my biggest buck to date the Saturday prior to this hunt, I can say I was not very optimistic about this hunt (due to extensive recovery effort with man and canine). I let the stand "rest" for 5 days, and Thursday morning the wind was right and I had just started 5 days of vacation from work, so to my honey hole stand I went, spooking a deer as I walked in. Got up in the tree an hour before daylight and was still being haunted by my "White Whale." As I sat there I replayed Saturday over and over then all of a sudden a young doe comes through moving quick, and right behind her is my redemption buck standing in the same spot as the buck from days earlier. I put the crosshairs on him exhaled and squeezed the trigger. He crumbled. THANK GOD FOR REDEMPTION!!!!!!
