Hunt Story
It was Sunday afternoon 13 November 2016 at 1530 hours (I'm retired military) when I got in my stand. It was 52 degrees, winds out of the NW at 10-15. I placed Tink's 69 buck lure out to drift toward my food plots. Rain was expected at 1600 hours, but it never came. We haven't had a decent rain in two months, I keep the food plots green with my ATV and 60-gallon water cart. My tree stand was 45 yards from the southern food plot. The buck appeared out of thin air, in spite of the ground covered in dry leaves, at 5:21 p.m. He was head down and headed to the Tinks another 50 yards away. He walked in front of my game camera, and 5 minutes later I walked in front to go recover my first Peach County buck. He only stumbled about 25 yards away, it was a very easy recovery.
