Hunt Story
I climbed up into the tower stand in my back field on Tuesday evening. At approximately 6 o'clock a big doe ran out into the field. I picked up my rifle to look at the doe through the scope, and when I did, I saw the buck run out behind her. The buck stopped when he ran into the open. I wanted to wait on a broadside shot, but the buck looked like he was going to run, so I took the only shot I had to the chest. The buck ran about 30 yards and I shot again. I didn't hit the deer with the second shot, but the deer was going down anyway.
