Youth Quail Hunters Headed To Springbank Plantation
Brad Gill | December 1, 2008
Drawings for a pair of SEEDS hunts were held at the Georgia Outdoor Network (GONetwork) office on the afternoon of Dec. 1. The two hunts will send eight kids hunting at Springbank Plantation at Barnsley Gardens Resort, an Orvis-sponsored hunting preserve in Adairsville.
SEEDS members Walker Scarbrough of Hogansville and Brandon Lee of Macon were the winners in the first hunt — a Dec. 13 deer hunt. The hunt will take place on Springbank Plantation on resort property. Lunch will be served by Barnsley Gardens Resort.
The GONetwork is a non-profit organization founded for the sportsmen of Georgia. The GONetwork’s mission is to preserve, protect and enhance the heritage and future of sportsmanship and the land, water and wildlife on which it depends. SEEDS, the organization’s youth program, stands for Sportsmanship, Ethics, Education, Dedication, and Service. Through the SEEDS program, the GONetwork is helping mold tomorrow’s outdoor leaders.
The second SEEDS hunt is a Dec. 20 quail hunt for six SEEDS members. The lucky kids are: D.R. Meadows of Ailey, Hayden Greer of Loganville, Cody Worthy of Winston, Andrew Ward of McDonough, Chandler Morgan of Woodstock and Joshua Peaden of Concord.
Shotguns and shells will be provided by Timberghost Outdoors. Lunch will be served by Barnsley Gardens Resort.
A parent or guardian must be present on both hunts.
Only the winners will be contacted.
Keep watching the NetWorker and GON magazines for more SEEDS coupon hunts.
