Hunt Story
Went on my first hunt at Buck Haven Farms in Warm Springs, Ga. Arrived at 6 a.m. and was taken to a ground blind. At 9:30 I noticed movement coming through the swamp and knew right away that it was a decent buck. I waited for a clean shot and took it. The buck ran away as though it wasn't hit, and I thought I had missed. My friend texted me and ask what I had shot and was he down, and I replied that I thought I had missed. He arrived at my location 30 minutes later, and we started looking for sign that I had hit him. I found a small patch of hair, and then we located blood just inside the woodline. After trailing blood for about 100 yards, we found him piled up against a tree.
