Hunt Story
I was sitting in the deer stand and looked behind me and I saw a doe. I made an easy shot on her because she was only about 50 yards away. Not even a minute later I noticed a spike watching me. He didn't seem too concerned and walked toward to where my downed doe was laying. He happened to line up my focus with three bucks walking through a large sage field. The obvious choice was the buck I shot, the other two could use another year or so to mature. I shot my 9-point behind the shoulder, and he ran until he disappeared in the sage as he fell. Me and daddy tracked him for about 10 minutes until we found him. It was a good opening morning!
