Hunt Story

Bucks were chasing does throughout the sit. I hit the grunt call, and I had a buck come running in then another. I let them walk, to give them a year or two. A little while later, I noticed a big doe walking in the woods, and I just saw huge bodied deer walking behind her, with a big rack. I grabbed my bow waiting for him to step out in the open, but he turned and was about to go into the woods. So grabbed my rifle and found an opening before he stepped back in the woods and took the shot, and he immediately went down. I got down to go retrieve him. As I was walking up to him, I was a little confused cause I thought he seemed to have a larger body than this. I was worried I shot the wrong deer. But when I got up to him, I realized that he slid down into a little depression, and thats why he looked smaller. But he was as I thought a massive-bodied buck, and it didn't stop there, his rack was very impressive, also. I had one heck of a time dragging him up the hill he slid down and getting him through all the vines and branches, because of his rack getting hung on everything in my path.
