Hunt Story
I was hunting a ladder stand I had set up on a huge white oak that is slap raining acorns. Right before 8 am a small spike came out and began to feed on acorns. After about 3 minutes he seemed to get spooked and trotted off. At 810 am, I thought I heard grunting, and bam this buck came out of a thicket and walked right under the oak tree in the same spot the spike had come out. I shot him and he dropped in his tracks at 18 yards. His tarsal glands were dripping down his legs, and I could smell him from my stand.
