Hunt Story
My brother and I have history of this deer that dates back to 2012. We have both shot at him in the past couple years with failed attempts. Having him on our trail cameras this year in daylight hours made me very anxious to get after him early. Saturday evening I went hunting alone as my brother couldn't make it. I settled in around 5:45 and started seeing deer at about 6:30. By 7:00 I had nine deer in the patch ranging from does, fawns, and bucks. This buck, who we called "The Big 10," came in at 7:35. After waiting on a good clear shot for a bit, he turned broadside at 30 yards, and I was able to make a perfect shot! We recovered him an hour later after following blood for only 80 yards or so!!
