Hunt Story
Took my 6-year-old son hunting the day after Thanksgiving. We got in the stand at daylight. There was a light breeze with temps in the 40s. There were some nice rubs and a scrape at the end of the plot. Around 8:15 a.m., I hit the horns and let out a couple of grunts. Within about 5 minutes, the buck stepped out and stood broadside checking the licking branch above the scrape. I told my son not to move or make a sound. Took a 60-yard shot, and he ran 15 yards. My son was tickled.
