Hunt Story
On the day before, I decided to hunt this spot because I have seen tons of deer sign in this location during previous turkey seasons. On the morning of 11/23/2015, I arrived at the new hunting spot at around 7:20 am and climbed up a pine tree I had found in the middle of some thickets. At about 8:30 am I noticed a doe coming in from my right and about 125 yards aways. I then noticed a nice thick-antlered buck slowly pursuing her. They then came within 70 yards and circled behind me into some thick cover on a hill. I then grunted a couple of times and blew an esterus bleat, and instantly a smaller buck ran the doe back down the hill into my shooting distance and then the bigger 8-pointer came down as well, then I shot him which was approximately 8:56 am.
