Hunt Story
I got into my stand about 6:30 a.m. The area was quiet, no wind. At around 8:40 a.m. I saw movement at a 45-degree angle off to the right. I thought it was a squirrel. It disappeared moving away from me. Approximately 2-3 minutes later I saw movement again. At that time I covered the hammer of my gun with my gloved hand and kept still. I then looked at the movement area with the scope of my gun and saw nothing. I then operated the Bleat Can twice and got in a shooting position. I saw no movement for approximately 2 minutes or so. Then directly in front of me the deer was walking through thick brush toward me. I did not have a clear shot while the deer was in the brush. I picked a clear spot if the deer continued on that path that would give me a clear shot. The deer did continue down my projected path, and I had a clear shot between two trees and shot the deer in the upper right shoulder area. He dropped immediately 50 feet from my deer stand. The deer did not run.
