Hunt Story

I got home from school around 4:00 pm and my dad was already in the blind overlooking our food plot. He texted and said I should come join him as it was a still, cool evening. Once I finished my homework, I walked over and joined my dad. By now it was around 5:15 PM. We were just about to call it a day when two deer came into the food plot. One was the buck I harvested along with a nice doe. After looking at him for a minute or so, he decided I should take him. After the shot he ran back into the woods, and we heard him crash. We found blood where he was standing when I shot and then picked up his heavy scent. We actually followed his odor and found him piled up about 40 yards into the woods. He is my third "shooter" buck out of the eight deer I have killed over the past 5 years. Better than that, my older brother Ryan's biggest buck is a small 6-pointer!
