Hunt Story
I have pics of this deer before season and found some white oaks with some huge buck sign near those trees. I was in the stand before daylight, and I grunted soon after sunrise and this caught movement on the oak ridge in front of me. The buck was slowly working his way down the ridge, and when he entered one of the openings, I shot him with my .270 right in the shoulder and he ran about 50 yds before toppling over. It was a short sweet rewarding hunt, and after giving thanks to man upstairs, it was time to celebrate! He weighed about 200 pounds and has an 18-inch spread.
