Hunt Story
My son and I were hunting a powerline with three food plots on it. The buck had made it almost all the way across the powerline when I saw it. I got Nick to get his rifle ready. The buck had made it to the tree line about 150+ yards away when he stood on his hind legs to work a licking branch. He then went to tending a scrape when my son got his shot. At the shot, the buck reared up onto his hind legs and took off. I knew he was hit good and didn't go very far. My son and I immediately got down to make our way to where the buck was and check for sign of a hit. There was blood in the scrape and I took up the trail. I had only gone maybe 10 or so yards when Nick saw the buck laying about 25 yards in the pines.
