Clarks Hill Lake Fishing Report November 2015

Clarks Hill: Level: 2.5 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: The lake is starting to turn over, so some parts are that milky color.

Bass: Good. Jon Hair with Greenfish Tackle reports, “Early in the morning I throw a Greenfish Shark buzzbait around hydrilla. Later in the day I throw a spinnerbait and a Zoom Trick Worm around hydrilla. Fish are also schooling good on the lower end of the lake. To catch these fish, throw a Zoom Super Fluke and a Lucky Craft Gunfish. When the fish go down, throw a Greenfish Shin Spin with a 3.8 Keitech swimbait.”

Linesides: Guide William Sasser reports, “There has been plenty of surface and bird activity, and this should continue in the upcoming weeks. Downlining live herring is still the most effective method, but with the temperature cooling off, trolling planer boards with gizzard shad and herring is also starting to really pay off. Right now the majority of the fish are lingering in mid-lake areas along the edges of the channel, but we are starting to see more groups headed farther up the lake and also out Georgia Little River. The hybrids and stripers will start pushing farther back in the creeks the cooler it gets. With the surface activity going on, be sure to keep your favorite topwater plug close at hand.”
