Hunt Story
This was Kameron's 1st buck ever! Going to be hard to top this one for a while. Kameron got out of school early for conference week. We (Dad and Kameron) headed straight to Meriwether County from the car rider line at school, straight into the deer woods. We had several photos of this buck on our trail camera, so we were excited to hopefully see him. A doe came out and we watched her for about 15 minutes. She must have gotten spooked because she started blowing and took off running. About 20 minutes later, it was starting to get dark, only a few minutes left to hunt and Kameron was almost giving up hope. Then this buck came out of the same path that the doe had been on. Kameron looked at me and said his heart was beating out of his chest and he was shaking like crazy. There was one small hole between the leaves in the trees, and Kameron took his one and only shot. Perfect shot, high shoulder. Kameron got up and looked to see that this buck had fallen right there. Didn't even take a step. The smile in the photo shows his pride and heartfelt happiness.
