Lake Oliver Fishing Report – May 2025

GON Staff | April 30, 2025

Oliver: Level: 337. Temp: Upper 70s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Tyler Morgan won an Oliver tournament at the end of April with five spots weighing 13 pounds. He said to fish balls of fry in sloughs with a wacky-rigged Senko for fry guarders. Fish a buzzbait around seawalls near the mouths of spawning sloughs early and target shade later. Also, flip all wood cover with a Ace jig or a Texas-rigged creature bait. Tyler likes the Hedgehog for its thinner profile. Use a 1/4- to 5/16-oz. sinker for a slow fall.”
