This Tift County 10-pointer came in looking for a fight last Nov. 8. Wayne Stone, of Tifton, rattled the buck in at 7:45 a.m.

Stephen Pontzer, of Dublin, almost missed a chance at this Laurens County 9-pointer last Oct. 29 because a doe had busted him. Stephen moved slowly to get his rifle up to make a 150-yard shot.

After not hearing a gobble until 10 a.m. while turkey hunting in Warren County on opening day, Donald Peppers, of Good Hope, turned it into a long and great day. He got his first bird soon after hearing that first gobble, and the second bird came strutting in at 5 p.m.

Renae Weber, of Cohutta, said she almost had a heart attack when she saw her big Hancock County 8-pointer.

Ray Jimenez, of Woodstock, caught this Paulding County 8-point buck chasing a doe last Nov. 13.

Larry Reed caught and released this 21-lb., 14-oz. blue cat at Lake Sinclair. He was fishing from his dock on the Little River arm during a full moon the night of May 4.

This Twiggs County 7-pointer was still in velvet on Oct. 25. M.R. Jones, of Jeffersonville, said his unusual trophy would make a nice mount.

Check out the dagger tine on this Upson County brute! Nathan Wheeler, of Thomaston, slipped in close to a bedding area and hunted from the ground.

Ocilla’s Brinkley Turner with an Irwin County 7-point buck he shot Nov. 27.

Christie Smith, of Madison, didn’t let being 7 1/2 months pregnant slow her down in the turkey woods on the morning of April 4. She, and her soon-to-be-born baby girl Lilah June Smith, rolled this Morgan County gobbler.

Elaine Brady, of Jefferson, decided she wanted to go striper fishing for the first time with her husband, John. They went to Lake Lanier in May, and Elaine caught this 14 1/2-lb. lineside.

Hall County produced this 8-pointer last Nov. 9 for Mike Deason, of Gainesville.

Joe Stonica, a GON member from McDonough, caught this tall Upson County 8-pointer looking for a doe on a cold morning during the rut on Nov. 15.

This Randolph County 8-pointer followed a scent trail of Harmon’s doe estrus. Greg Ferguson, of Largo, Fla., killed the buck on Dec. 4 last season.

Hoschton’s Tommy Boyd killed this Jackson County 10-pointer last Nov. 11.

Gavin Miller, 17, of Calhoun, with a nice Gordon County 7-point buck he shot last Nov. 29. Gavin first spotted the buck standing over a bedded doe in the middle of a large hay field. Later the doe bolted out of some timber, and the buck was right on her tail.

Mason Biles, of Dallas, with a big Lake Weiss catfish caught on cut bait July 3.

Jim Lanier, of Monticello, with his Jasper County 11-pointer killed Nov. 7.

A 50-acre Banks County tract produced this 8-point buck last Nov. 5 for Donny Ingram, of Commerce.
