High School Bass Teams Compete For B.A.S.S. State Championship At Hartwell
Vanegmond and Stahl from CrossPointe Christian Academy earn top honors.

Top three teams: first place Vanegmond and Stahl, who had 21.86-lbs., second place, from Jefferson High, Cole Wood and Will Wood, 18.14-lbs., third place, from Eastgate Life Academy in Hiawassee, Seth Utt and Brian Moore, 18.08-lbs.
The top high school bass anglers from across the state earn the right to fish the B.A.S.S. High School Nation (BHSN) State Classic, held Oct. 17-18 at Lake Hartwell.
To qualify for the State Classic, high school anglers had to finish in the top 10 at one of four qualifier tournaments.

The BHSN state champions from Lake Hartwell were Tate Vanegmond and Cody Stahl from CrossPointe Christian Academy near Griffin. Cody was featured in last month’s GON Map-of-the-Month article about October bass fishing on Lake Oconee.
