Lake Oliver Fishing Report – March 2025

Oliver: Level: 0.6 feet below 337. Temp: Low 50s. Clarity: Stained to clearing.

Bass: Tournament angler Tyler Morgan is featured in this month’s Map-of-the-Month article. He said to concentrate on the mouths of sloughs until the water warms, and then move into the backouts and target stumps and grass. Fish wood cover on the river near spawning pockets with a ChatterBait and jig. Then hit every stump with a wacky-rigged Senko back in the pockets. Tyler showed the kind of fish Oliver can produce with a 6.14-lb. spotted bass and a 7-lb. largemouth caught in a tournament in mid February. Total weight was 24 pounds.
