Hunt Story

It was 34 degrees, after spending the morning with my wife and newborn daughter, I decided to hit the deer woods. Got in my climber at 4:30 PM. I sat for about 15 minutes and hit my grunt call. Within a few minutes a doe came running with a 10-pointer behind her, I couldn’t get a good shot so I let him walk. Around 5:00 I noticed a small buck cruising a fire break on the edge of the planted pines. So I hit my grunt call again. With in minutes a doe and three bucks came busting out the pines into the hayfield with the 1- point leading. He was chasing hard, so I yelled at him a few times and he wouldn’t stop. Finally in a last ditch effort I let out one more holler, the 13-point buck stoped dead in his tracks and the rest is history.
