Hunt Story
The night before I shot him I had seen him and had him coming up my way when 2 does ran across a grass strip. When he crossed where they had ran he followed their track and I tried grunting and he was too worried about the does to come in. So I was back in there the next morning and saw a nice 8-pointer after some does and when he broke off from them I grunted and he came into 40 yards, but I decided to let him go in hopes he would go in front of my sons stand. Later that morning I glanced to my right and saw him standing at 15 yards. I waited till he started walking by me to grab my bow and as I drew back I stopped him at 20 yards and he was quartered slightly away and I settled the pin on him and let it eat. He ran at least 150 yards before piling up.
