Hunt Story

I got in the stand early that morning. It started as soon as daybreak hit. Had a yearling pass through then several does with yearlings came out. They started running around chasing each and while they were doing that they spooked up several more does. They finally all scattered out and ran off then after a few minute I noticed an extremely large bodied deer out about 800 yards. I got the binoculars up and knew then that this was a shooter buck. He slowly made it down my way After about 10 of the longest minutes ever he came to a stop, still out about 250 yards. I knew then if he hung a right I would never see him again, if he continues straight I would have around a 200-yard shot but if he goes left he’ll come right by me. Well, he hung a left and came right to me and stopped at about 130 yards. I took the shot and he ran about 70 yards and dropped before reaching the wood line. I couldn't have had a better day in the woods.
