Hunt Story
I was in the stand listening to something walking in the woods behind me for several minutes. I wasn’t entirely sure what it was yet, but there was a flash of brown fur in the treeline that told me it was at least a deer, and a larger one. I knew where it would be going since a spike had walked that same path earlier in the day, so I turned my binoculars to the opening on the field he would come out on and kept an ear out for the leaves as he walked that way. It came onto the field around twenty minutes before sunset, and when I got a good look at it I decided to take the shot. After I pulled the trigger, it fell right where it was.
