I was sitting in a single man ladder stand in hardwoods where there were a ton of acorns on the ground. I haven’t had much activity at my trough feeder near the hardwoods so I decided to hunt over the acorns. At around 5:25 pm I looked to my left and saw a buck cruising through but couldn’t tell how big he was but knew he was a good deer! He presented me with a shot and I took it and he hit the ground! I got down out of the stand and went to look at him and immediately knew what deer it was. We have had him on camera the past two seasons and he finally slipped up!
