Hunt Story
She has been hunting hard since youth season, and has a few does under her belt. This past saturday she missed a good 8. Her cousin Jackson Owens went to another lease we have and passed a good buck on the powerline stand that same saturday morning, and told me to take her there Sunday morning before church. We sat on that stand Sunday morning and afternoon seeing the same group of 5 does both sits. Jackson hunted a stand on the other side of the property and saw this buck bedded with a doe walking in Saturday afternoon. Jackson had class Monday morning at 11 at ABAC in Tifton, but went to the stand where he caught a glimpse of this buck bedded with the doe that Saturday afternoon and seen him that morning, and could have shot it. Thats where I have to brag on Jackson. There isnt another 19 year old in the state as selfless and genuine as he is. He passed him knowing there might be a chance he could take Libbie back that afternoon after class to get him. He checked her out school and they went back for the afternoon sit. It was slow at first but right around 5pm he stepped out in the Lane Jackson stopped him and libbie made a perfect 120 yard shot and he dropped right in his tracks.
