Hunt Story

I got settled in my saddle about 6:40am and then said a prayer in the dark as I usually do when waiting for sunrise. I could finally see the woods pretty well around 7:35am so after about 5 minutes I did a blind doe bleat. At 7:50am, I thought I heard a squirrel right behind me on the ground and when I looked down, this deer was 3 yards from the base of my tree. He came from downwind of me and was walking right out in front of me. I slowly grabbed my bow and stopped him at 10 yards, quartering away. I put a good shot on him and watched him crash about 50 yards away. I am so blessed for this experience and for God giving me the ability to do what I love. All Glory Be to Christ, My Savior.
