Hunt Story
We have had several years of watching this buck grow on camera. He had been a ghost for many years with only night time pictures. Finally this year he daylighted on Sunday the 20th of October. So just going out on a limb my husband and I hunted him the next morning thinking he would be back. He came in, just to stop out of view of a clear shot, he then slipped up the ridge out of view. He didn't blow or run off, but we were worried he smelt us. We went back the next morning and evening with no signs of him. Nothing on any of the cameras around the area. We decide we would go back Wednesday morning one more time before giving it a break. At 7:40 a.m he showed up and was feeding about 90 yards out on a hard wood ridge above us. I was able to make a good shot on the buck. He went about 100 yards down the ridge to our left. So blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy the time with my husband and to harvest such an amazing deer!
