Hunt Story
It was a clear, still morning hunting from a stand that has consistently been productive this time of year. Prior to this buck making an appearance several other bucks and doe appeared around the stand exhibiting lots of rutting activity. Shortly after daylight this buck appeared coming directly down a trail that would lead him within 25 yards of my stand. As he approached, I could easily identify him as my target buck. While I watched him coming down the trail I calmed myself down and came to full draw. I grunted at him and he stopped at 20 yards. I loosed the arrow and watched as my best archery buck trotted to 30 yards before falling within sight.
