Hunt Story
Got in the stand later than I wanted, sat for about 20 minutes and two 4-pointers came out and started sparing for ten minutes or so, fed around, the walked off. About 30 minutes later I caught movement to my right in a thicket and saw horns and knew it was the one I was looking for! He stopped and looked and smelled for several minutes, and then came walking in. I drew my bow when he stepped behind a cedar tree. When he popped out I was getting ready to stop him with a bleat but he stopped on his own. He was at 15 yards broadside when I squeezed the trigger and watched my arrow disappear behind his shoulder. He ran about 30 yards and I heard him crash. The recovery was quick and easy!
