Hunt Story
I had a regular group of five different 8-points at my property, and of course I had my sights set on a really wide and heavy particular one. The one I was after finally came in while still daylight. I was waiting for him to turn broadside when suddenly he threw his head up and quickly exited the opening. I was confused by this when I caught sight of this buck walking straight into the clearing. At first I couldn’t recognize him, then he raised his head and looked sideways giving me a clear view of his antlers. I then knew he was a shooter that had only came to this spot twice before season. After a couple of torturing minutes he finally turned to the right giving me a perfect broadside shot. Not wanting to make the mistake of jumping him I anxiously waited about two hours before tracking him down.
